Pneumatic down-the-hole hammer drillers in diameters between 70 mm and 90 mm are the most commonly used machines for the preliminary drilling before the diamond wire cutting. The neumatic drillers for quarry work carry out the whole process just with air. They are not advisable for using on soft materials and on uneven benches.
